The JewelMint Box Project: Recycle and Reuse!

A very special thanks to Di from JewelMint's Facebook page for bringing up the topic of how to prevent less waste by having an option to recycle the JewelMint boxes you may no longer want! On the other side of the coin, there may be many of you who would LOVE to have more JewelMint boxes for your collection!

So why not create a weekly post (in the future this will post on Thursday's) where we can post/swap/exchange JewelMint boxes? Michele, also from JM's Facebook page, also suggested an option to even post the little pouches you may no longer want! I figure we can keep this weekly post around until JewelMint decides if they'll create their own rewards program for sending in boxes or something similar.

So, here is how the JewelMint Box Project works:

Post the number of JewelMint boxes and/or pouches you are "Looking to Recycle" or post the number of boxes/pouches you are looking for or "Wanting to Reuse". Please include your email address so that others may contact you.

My only suggestion is that you can carefully work out an option to somehow compensate the shipper for their shipping fees. Another option would be to purchase an electronic USPS flat-rate shipping label online (for whichever size flat rate box is appropriate) and email it as a PDF to the sender that would allow for an easy exchange! Another plus: USPS Flat Rate Boxes are free for the sender to pick up at any post office location (senders: just be sure to use the correct size box for the corresponding label). Also, please be careful when swapping/exchanging anything as this blog is not involved or responsible for any transactions that occur between users.

Please feel free to let me know any other future suggestions you may have either in the comments below or by email at jewelsandmints@gmail.com.

Happy JewelMint box and pouch exchanging everyone! The environment will thank you for it!

<<UPDATE>> May 22nd, 2011 - Instead of this being a weekly post, I've created a tab for this project at the top of my blog as a permanent forum. Thanks everyone!

xoxo, Lily
