This blog's Weekly JewelMint Exchange posts have been utilized by so many of you, and I love reading the feedback you've sent me in regards to successful exchanges! On the other hand, there has been one instance that I've been told where allegedly a seller did not follow through on an exchange and ended contact. This is unfortunate, but is very much a possibility when performing a swap or exchange, no matter which forum you you. While all users of this blog's exchange posts are ultimately responsible for their own actions, I would like to remind everyone that it is very important that you are act safely when going about any exchange.
Here are a few safety tips that can help lead to a positive exchange experience:
- Sometimes an email address may not be enough. Try to get as much verification from a seller or swapper as possible (name, phone number, address, etc.) before sending any payment or swapping anything.
- If a seller or swapper isn't willing to speak over the phone about a potential sale, this could possibly be a red flag.
- Always make sure that a credit or fund transfer has cleared prior to shipping anything.
- I always suggest using PayPal when exchanging funds. They have a great buyer & seller protection plans. Always ship to the buyer's verified PayPal address to be play it safe.
- Don't forget to send all items with delivery confirmation (a signature requirement is even better)!
- Check this post often to read feedback left by other buyers and sellers! A link to this post is permanently fixed in the upper right sidebar link list and will be posted in every future weekly exchange post for reference.
Please feel free to use this post as feedback forum regarding sellers
and buyers! Have a successful JewelMint swap here in or another forum? Post a comment here letting people
know the buyer or seller can be trusted! Have a questionable experience?
Post that here too!
Please try to mainly stick to the facts, be as nice as possible and completely honest in your feedback as this blog is not responsible for any actions or posts of its users. A link to this post will be available in every future Weekly Exchange Post. I think feedback is always a great way to keep any community safe and can be a very positive thing! Thank you.
xoxo, Lily
