Kate Bosworth in "Moonlight" from Vanessa Bruno - Spring/Summer 2012

Photos & Video: Vanessa Bruno's "Moonlight"

I loved Kate in Vanessa Bruno's "LØV" Fall/Winter 2011 video and I honestly didn't think that any video could top its creativity - that is, until I watched "Moonlight".

While everyone will have their own perception about the meaning of "Moonlight", it's quite obvious that Kate portrays a mother who has somehow lost her way and ended up trapped on, well, the "moon" - looking absolutely stunning the entire time I must add!

Some may argue that the metaphor for being trapped on the moon could be interpreted as death, whereas others have said that it signifies the feeling of being isolated, leaving Kate to reflect on happier times, and the end signifying a sense of being set free.

Without getting entirely too deep into the meaning, I do know that it made me reflect on what it's like to be a mother and how your children may remember you once you've passed. Which actually made me teary-eyed while I was watching it. Yeah, I admit it....I actually teared up. lol

If your a mother, you know how it is...anything that has to do with children and memories can be a soft spot. :)

What was I talking about again? Oh yeah, Kate in Vanessa Bruno's new video...I hope Vanessa Bruno features her in all future videos, they're very interesting to watch and the songs are always a perfect match.

Watch the full-length video of Kate in "Moonlight":

The song is by Sebastien Schuller, titled "Awakening". I can't seem to get it out of my head! Watch the video for this song:

What are your thoughts on Kate's performance in "Moonlight"?

Vanessa Bruno's "LØV" (Full-Length) Fall/Winter 2011-12 Featuring Kate Bosworth

Photo via: VanessaBruno.com

We got a glimpse at Kate Bosworth in what was Vanessa Bruno's LØV trailer a few weeks ago (in this post here). I had heard a rumor that a full-length video would be released around the 9th of September and it's finally here!

According to Vogue UK "The campaign film, entitled Lov, was filmed in Eastern Europe - and produced and directed by Stephanie Di Gusto. It shows an almost bare-faced Bosworth in the snow, and with white horses, wearing the autumn/winter 2011-12 collection. The collection itself is heavily influenced by Vanessa's Norwegian heritage, a style aesthetic the designer felt Bosworth, who replaced Lou Doillon, embodied - and was very much a "collaboration," a spokesperson for the brand revealed - adding that Bruno is a long-time admirer of Bosworth."

So without any further ado, here's the full-length feature that can be seen on VanessaBruno.com:

Kate Bosworth in "LØV" from Vanessa Bruno - Fall/Winter 2011-12

LØV from Vanessa Bruno - Fall/Winter 2011-12 featuring Kate Bosworth

The first time I saw this video I must say that it wasn't what I was expecting. Compared to Kate's Cotton Commercial ad, I was kind of expecting to see the usual light and carefree Kate that we're used to. That's not to say I'm not totally intrigued by the video as it's actually fascinating to see her in a different light. She looks gorgeous as usual, and the cinematography is absolutely brilliant.

I'm loving the song as well - it is one that can easily get stuck in your head. While it is somewhat reminiscent of something you would hear from Radiohead, it is actually by an artist by the name of Owen Pallett, titled "Keep The Dog Quiet". You can find it here on Amazon.com.

View entire Fall/Winter 2012 the collection at VanessaBruno.com. Currently, there is one Vanessa Bruno boutique here in the U.S. that is located in West Hollywood, California.
