Zoe Saldana is JewelMint's Newest Celebrity Guest Curator!

Photo: Jewelmint

In case you missed it, Zoe Saldana has been named JewelMint's newest Celebirty Guest Curator with the recently re-released, Zoe Bangle. According to the announcement made over on JewelMint's Style Diary Blog, "50% of the proceeds from the Zoe Bangle will go to the Wounded Warrior Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring and empowering men and women of our armed forces who have been severely injured during the conflicts around the world, including Iraq and Afghanistan."

Saldana is JewelMint's sixth celebrity guest curator to join forces with the brand in support of charity. Past curators include Rachel Bilson, Jared Eng, Sienna Miller, Emmanuelle Chriqui, and most recently, Camilla Belle.

I'm still curious as to when (or if) Hayden Panettiere will be announced as a future curator for the Hayden Necklace. I'm assuming it is probably either still in the works or is simply scheduled as a future curated piece. The question is more than likely just a matter of when.

For example, the "Zoe" Bangle was originally released back March of this year and had since sold out. While I had originally thought the bracelet may be an homage to Rachel Zoe, it turns out to have been dedicated to Zoe Saldana's cause all along. This announcement came eight months after the bracelet's original release and seems to be the main reason for the bangle's return.

JewelMint's Newest Celebrity Guest Curator: Camilla Belle for Free the Slaves Charity - Nordic Treasure Necklace Coming Soon!

Photo: Jewelmint

While JewelMint's website is now back up and running, I found something very exciting as I was looking around!

The Nordic Treasure Necklace will be making a comeback very soon as Camilla Belle has been announced on JewelMint.com as the next Celebrity Guest Curator to help raise awareness for  Free the Slaves - FreetheSlaves.net

The Mission: "To end slavery worldwide. We believe that ending slavery is an ambitious–and realizable–goal. Everyone has a role to play in this great endeavor: Governments, businesses, international aid organizations, consumers, YOU." -FreetheSlaves.net

About Free the Slaves: "The largest anti-slavery organization in the United States, Free the Slaves was established to campaign against the modern practice of slavery around the world. The organization enlists businesses to clean slavery out of their product chains and empower consumers to stop buying into slavery. In addition, Free the Slaves works with governments to produce effective anti-slavery laws. The campaign supports economic opportunities, health services, universal education, and strong rule of law to reduce the possibility of enslavement. Through research and strategic action, Free the Slaves is committed to supporting sustainable solutions and to seeking guidance from local and regional anti-slavery programs." -JewelMint.com

Once the Nordic Treasure is re-released (still not available as of 2:27am PST on September 13th), 50% of proceeds will go directly to Free the Slaves.

I'll keep everyone updated with a follow-up post as soon as the Nordic Treasure makes a comeback!

Hey Wait a Minute! Is Hayden Panettiere JewelMint's Next Celebrity Guest Curator???

Photo: Jewelmint

I was laying in bed trying to get some rest for tonight's party (everyone's invited - details here), when it hit me!!! The Hayden Necklace is JewelMint's next Celebrity Guest Curator piece! It totally makes sense...

Well-known for her activism, Hayden Panetieere is the spokeswoman for The Whalesman Foundation ("an oceanic research, conservation, and production organization dedicated to preserving and protecting dolphins, whales, and their ocean habitat."). Think "Save The Whales" except now it's "Save The Whales Again". The Hayden Necklace, well, it looks like a whales tail! Coincidental? I think not. I personally think Hayden Panettiere is a perfect fit!

Here's another look at the details of the Hayden Necklace from JewelMint.com:
"Take to the sea and be seen! Our marine design features a crystal embellished whale fin pendant for a coastal vibe. Hanging on a 20” rolo chain, this ocean wonder boasts pink, blue, and purple crystals. The necklace, with stone detail and a brass casting, looks like it was lost at sea, waiting for you to dive right in and discover this buried treasure."

On a side note, I was also trying to think of other celebrities with the name "Hayden". The only other option I could think of was Hayden Christensen. I mean, Rachel Bilson is a past JewelMint Guest Curator Alumni (Rachel Earrings). She's always being spotted wearing StyleMint shirts and JewelMint jewelry, and does she not just happen to engaged to him? However, Christensen has been linked to the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation.

For those of you who don't remember, Christopher Reeve was most notoriously known for playing Superman back in the day. Reeve joined forces with the American Paralysis Foundation to function as the Christopher Reeve Foundation (dedicated to spinal cord injuries and paralysis) after a horse-riding injury and prior to his passing. Therefore, Christensen's foundation would have been a better fit for something heroic, like say...the Cavalier Pendant? Maybe I'm thinking too much into this, but I think JewelMint should look into it being a future possibility. ;)

But like I was saying, I do think Panettiere is next month's curator! She just has to be! What are your thoughts?

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley: Stunning at Transformers 3 Premiere - Custom Made JewelMint Bow Choker Necklace!

Photos: Getty Images & Celebuzz

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley absolutely killed it on the red carpet for the 'Transformers 3: Dark Side Of The Moon' premiere yesterday in New York City. Rosie wore a stunning red dress and a custom made necklace from JewelMint called the Rosie Bow Choker as featured on Cher Coulter and JewelMint's facebook pages.

I think this necklace would look amazing layered on top of the Serpentine Necklace or even the Casati Necklace!

I'm assuming this piece will be produced in an upcoming collection (July?) and that Rosie will be JewelMint's next Celebrity Guest Curator joining Sienna Miller, Rachel Bilson, and Jared Eng!! Guess we'll have to stay tuned to find out!

Would you love to own this necklace???
